Be Happy When You Can Be

After the bad has left my life
the good has come back quite contrite

But all things good have evil sides
That show themselves from time to time

though usually it likes to hide
until we tell another lie

'cause then it will come out to play,
to tear apart a perfect day

Fight as you may, it will not leave
your struggle only gives it glee

and when you close your eyes to sleep
it shows itself within your dreams

No matter what, there's no escape,
there's never been another way.

To try to fight would be in vain.
Endure it 'til it goes away

And after it has disappeared,
enjoy the time it isn't here.
